Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee for Theta works hard each year to plan and complete multiple fundraisers. Beginning in the fall before classes begin, we will be working at the Germania Oktoberfest to help with event parking. We will help with event parking at Germania again for Christkindlmarkt.
Most of Winter Quarter will be spent planning for our main fundraiser: the ballpark. Each year Theta works concessions stands at the Cincinnati Reds' Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. This fundraising effort raises most of the money for the Theta chapter to support the band each year. To fulfill this, every active member will attend a training session and work in the concession for multiple games.
Our most recent fundraisers have been working with area restaurants to receive a portion of all sales during select hours on a specified day. We plan to continue to use restaurants as fundraising events in the future. Also, we work for separate entities within the University of Cincinnati to pass out various types of flyers and paraphernalia for various sponsors to fans at home UC basketball games.
Overall, the committee strives to be able to provide the most financial assistance for Theta's band work while keeping member fiscal responsibilities to an absolute minimum.
