The
saxophone section has some traditions that have been in place for the last
few years. These include:
- No Cutting through the
Band! (While in formation)
- Being the best section in
the UC Band.

Being the most close-knit and most enjoyable
section in the band.
- High retention.
- Wearing leis during the
practice the day of football games.
- Wearing special "Sax
Condoms" on member's saxophones.
- The circular ritual known
as "Shaka" after all football games and practices.
- A saxophone section
T-shirt.
- And of course: The UC Band
Is Damn Good!
