Mr. Scott A. Snyder will be presenting a master class on the topic of woodwind instrument repair. Below is his biography. Biography Scott Snyder has been in the musical instrument field since his graduation from the Allied Music Corp. School of Band Instrument Repair in 1978. After his technical training he joined the repair staff at Menchey Music Service in Hanover PA as a technician. In 1982 Scott assumed the duties of shop manager at Menchey’s. Scott is currently the Service Manager at Buddy Roger's Music, Cincinnati, Ohio, having joined the company in 1984. In his twenty three years at Buddy Roger's Music, the service department has grown from 2 technicians to 8, with several support staff. He is responsible for all aspects of repair services including band, string, and electronics repair. The service department has been recognized nationally for outstanding service and innovations such as School Maintenance Contracts. Scott is a member of the National Association of Band Instrument Repair Technicians (NAPBIRT), has been a clinician at various association conferences, and has written articles for the association technical journal. Scott is a Christian recording artist, and released his first saxophone CD, “Songs for the Ages” in Novemver of 2005. He serves as Director of Worship Teams at Dayspring Church of God in Cincinnati and is involved in Christian music and music education in the area. Scott and his wife Rhonda have three children and reside in Fairfield, Ohio.
