Opening Concert

Crosley March

Henry Fillmore

The Crosley March was written in honor in honor of Powell Crosley Jr., founder and President of the Crosley Broadcasting Company, and for many years the owner of the Cincinnati Reds.
On a Hymnsong of
Philip Bliss

David Holsinger

We are playing this piece in honor of the late Ms. Julie Ann Benken, Sister of Theta and Honorary of Upsilon, who lost her battle with cancer in January. Julie dedicated nearly 15 years of her life to service for the University of Cincinnati Bearcat Bands both as a Drum Major and later as a member of the staff.
High Adventure

Randol A Bass

In 2003, Theta commissioned Randy Bass, alumnus of the Upsilon Chapter and CCM, to write a piece in honor of the 75th Anniversary of Upsilon. This past winter quarter, the Brothers of Upsilon began having rehearsals and performed High Adventure for Theta in honor of their 60th Anniversary. In celebration of our joint relations, Upsilon and Theta are joining together to performing this piece for the NCD Convention and, later this year, the UC Band Spring Concert.
