Prominent Members of the Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi

Cincinnati has been the center of arts in the United States since it's founding. Called the "Queen of the West" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, it no surprise that Cincinnati arts have been compared to Paris. Because Cincinnati has been a mecca of artists and performers in the United States, there have been many prominent Brothers pass through the ranks of Kappa Kappa Psi by initiate from the Upsilon Chapter. Below is a compilation of Brothers initiation by the Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi.   Joseph W. Davis July 28, 1936 Assisted A. Frank Martin with the publishing of The Baton, now known as The PODIUM, after the Great Depression and during WWII; Was elected National Grand Editor during Francis R Todd’s term as Grand President

  Dr. James Morand February 22, 1957 Former Professor at the University of Cincinnati; Established the Dr. James Morand Memorial Scholarship for Brass
  Thomas Talmadge February 2, 1964 The UCBAA established the Tom Talmadge Scholarship in honor of the service Tom put into the UC Band as Band Announcer for several years. The Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate UC Band Members through the Band Alumni Endowment Fund.
