What is The Compendium?
The Compendium is a user-driven collection of information about college and university marching bands from across the country. Information such as size, marching style, percentage of the band that is majoring in music, and time requirements are collected and displayed in a standardized form.
An important note about this version over the previous version is that all pages are maintained by their respective band. If you notice that your college or university band is not represented on the Compendium, add it! Click the register link above and get started representing your band.
The dynamic approach...
The new version of The Compendium is a database-driven website designed to be updated continuously by each individual band. Each band will be responsible for updating its own information on this site. Once its information is updated, the site will instantly record the data to a database, cutting down the time required by conventional HTML sites.
Updates to the site...
Everything is being prepared and checked, so that people can register their bands at the Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma National Convention. The map of bands now works and shows the test bands now registered.
