I am saddened to report to you that we have lost a member of our close-knit family. Last evening (Monday, January 22nd), we lost a staff member, alumna, and beloved friend of the Bearcat Bands. Miss Julie Benken lost her battle with cancer and has passed on to be with others in our Lord's great "band of angels." I wish I did not have to tell you this news.

Julie was one of the most enthusiastic members and supporters of the band. She really did breathe Red & Black Bearcat Band. We should all be blessed with such strong passion for something. Julie will be missed greatly.
