University of Cincinnati Bearcat Bands

Welcome to the official site of the UC Bands on the campus of The University of Cincinnati.

The UC Bearcat Bands make up the university's athletic band program and are distinct from the UC College Conservatory of Music (school of music). The UC Bands serve as both an academic class, and a student group as an independent department within the Division of Student Life.

The Bearcat Bands are open to anyone attending the University of Cincinnati and can be taken for fine arts credit. Previous experience playing an instrument or twirling a flag, rifle, and/or baton is highly preferred. To learn more about this experience of a lifetime, visit the recruitment webpage.

Purpose:

Many students, when considering their college choices, want to continue their band experience. The UC Bearcat Bands offer all students, regardless of major, the chance to further their participation at the college level without taking up much time.
