UC Band Alumni Association
|
Welcome to the official site of the UC Band Alumni Association (UCBAA) at The
University of Cincinnati.
The UCBAA is an organization that was founded to provide the alumni of the UC Bearcat Bands a means
of continued involvement with the university and its band program after graduation. While working
toward this goal the UCBAA strives to provide support for the Bearcat Bands program by bridging the gap
between Bearcat Bands alumni, The University of Cincinnati, and the community.
UCBAA membership is comprised of former band members and includes a council of officers and board of
governors.

- The UCBAA is pleased to introduce John Fecker as the new primary conductor and director of the summer community band program. Larry Welsh has served the
program well over the past several years and we are sorry to see him go, but he has elected to pass the torch on to John starting this year. John comes to us
with a wealth of experience as the former director of the Turpin High School Band for 26 years. John also has directed the Anderson Community Band for the
past 5 years.

Feature Presentation:
NEW UCBAA WEBSITE!
As you may have noticed, we have recently performed a major upgrade to the UC Band Alumni Association website. This upgrade
was long overdue and has converted the old static HTML pages into a dynamic database supported solution driven by PHP and MySQL.
As you'll also notice, it's not complete yet. In an effort to update the website as quickly as possible, we have launched this new
site with nearly full navigation and basic content. Additional content will be added later as well as additional dynamic structural
changes behind the scenes. Please check back often for new content and interesting new applications and tools.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy our improvements!
